My wife is a beautiful photographer and wants to do some medium format pictures. The problem is that there aren't any places in my area of New Hampshire that really develops this kind of film. So I have decided to do it my self. My wife does Exclusively B%26amp;W film and she scans the film into her computer so I don't have to produce a picture, I just have to process the film for scanning.
Is this an easy or difficult process? and how do you do it?
Thanks

Reply:Black and white film development is easy. Go to your local library, there you should find out what you need, you may need a film changing bag to put the film in the development canister but after that you should be able to get your chemicals from your local foto store or online. Black and white film is the easiest to develop and printing without a computer is easy too. And you have so much more control over your work. Hope this helps.
Reply:another option is sending your film to a reputable film lab in nyc or boston.
they can process with or without proof-sheets and the expense is fairly nominal per roll.
best b/w lab in nyc is called "Black and White on White..."
they will take excellent care of your film
Reply:The process and chemicals are exactly the same as for 35mm, you only need a bigger developing tank to take your medium format film. Follow the instructions given with the developer chemicals
