The John Hopkins personal essay states that you can feel free to use any space and medium?

What defines free spcae and medium? Is there a limit to what you can do? If anyone did this topic last year when applying to John Hopkins tell me what you did or give some examples?

The John Hopkins personal essay states that you can feel free to use any space and medium?
It means you can submit a video, DVD, Power Point presentation or plain text print out.

It means they have left the door open and invited the uscolicted INTISE AND IMPRESS US.

Do you think you could put an edited, tight video together and burn it to DVD and make it look like something on PBS.

If you CAN'T make it look like James Burke's CONNECTIONS or Carl Sagan's COSMOS, I wouldn't do it.

But they've left the door open. They are INVITING a DIG ME presentation that knocks their socks off.

So what have you done!

I learned to type by homeschooling using the think system as taught by mother.

She also taught me basic music script as she was both a musician and a computer supervisor.

She also taught me at age 8 to read IBM CARD PUNCH CARDS.

At 10 I was working with tape recorders at 11 with 8mm movies and I was integrating them together at 12 I was doing planetary observatins with a telescope at 14 I was teaching myself dark room and processing and I was making my own enlarger with a magnifying glass a toilet paper tube and shoe box.

I got published in Sky and Telescope at 16.

I then got all sorts of rejection slips from all sorts of magazines.

Now I have all sorts of still pictures, I'd re-create the shoe box enlarger and show them how at age 4 I learned to focuse a VIEWMASTER on the wall with a flashlight and project an image and how this led me to the CREATION of an enlarger at age 14.

I'd also detail how my CAT discovered Gravity.

That's a bon moir

The idea is to impress them

I discovered OPTICAL PROJECTION

My cat discovered GRAVITY

It's a joke get it!

I was doing animation work at 16

I was superimposing titles, doing split screen. Working with double system sound. Anamorphics. Day for Night. Post dubbing sound in sync to the movie. Dual projectors. Start marks, just like real theaters use.

I was a genius, second only to my Cat who discovered gravity.

Of course with that DVD they'd probably admit my cat but not me!
