How often should you cut medium-length hairstyles?

I've had below shoulder-length hair for a few years, and recently cut it to about a 1/2 inch above my shoulders. I know long hair is supposed to be trimmed every 6-8 weeks, but how often should medium-length hair be trimmed? I was thinking it was something like every 4 weeks, but it seems like that is not often enough to maintain the style. My hair is also kind of dry and damaged. I've been taking biotin, a b vitamin that helps strengthen hair, and I think it makes it grow a little faster. Also does anyone have tips for strengthening hair that will not make it grow faster, like certain supplements? I really want to maintain this current length, and I want it to be healthy, too.

How often should you cut medium-length hairstyles?
Cut it every month and get Herbal Essence "Dangerously Straight" (or curly, pending on your hair).I blow dry and straighten my hair everyday so it can get pretty damaged, but this method usually works for me.
Reply:Get "Herbal Essance," and cut your hair every 3-4 weeks. Hope it works!
Reply:Every month.
Reply:it is fine to get it cut about every six weeks, it depends if you color it, how often you wash it, if you swim and how many vitamins you take. The best bet is every 6 weeks but talk to your stylist who would have a better recommendation for you because she would be the one person able to see your hair and tell you

With underwear, does a size 5 convert to small or medium?

I'm trying to purchase underwear online, but the sizes are different from the underwear I usually buy. The underwear I have now are fives, and the sizes on this site are extra small, small, medium and large. The site doesn't have any sizing charts.

With underwear, does a size 5 convert to small or medium?
Size 5 = small.

Is it safe to eat a medium rare burger?

For lunch today I decided to try a burger at a sandwich place I normally frequent. They asked me how I like it, I said medium well. Brought it back to the office and was starving, needed to eat to have my antibiotics for a sinus infection I have. The burger was completely pink throughout the middle. Rather than walk back to complain of this, I needed to eat immediately as I had the shakes, so I ate it. Now is it ok to eat a medium rare burger? If they ask how I want it, could I be assured that it is safe?

Is it safe to eat a medium rare burger?
it's safer to eat rare steak, or so i was told by ServSafe when i took that class. the reason is this: a steak, when processed, is a piece of meat with a clearly defined set of outside edges. if, and when the meat comes in contact with bacteria during processing, the bacteria cling to the outside of the meat. when you cook it, if you don't cut into it before hand and handle it properly, presumably you would kill the bacteria on the outside of the meat. now, hamburger is all ground up so if the meat had come in contact with bacteria during processing, the bacteria was ground and mixed all throughout the meat when it was ground into hamburger. but...this obviously isn't always the case. i've eaten hamburgers on the rare side. hamburger isn't....say..... chicken, you know. proper handling is key.
Reply:I have been eating very rare hamburgers and rare other meats for many years now and have never gotten sick.
Reply:most of the time yea but i wouldnt suggest it
Reply:If it was from a place you trust, then it should be fine.
Reply:You'll be fine. Don't worry about it. :-)
Reply:It's not the doneness of the burger that determines whether or not you might get sick, but rather the presence of pathogenic bacteria such as E coli. These bacteria may be released from the intestines during slaughter and can contaminate the meat. In the case of a steak, the bacteria are only on the outside and are destroyed during the cooking process - the meat can be very rare on the inside, but that is ok since the bacteria were only on the outside. In the case of hamburger, the meat is ground up and the bacteria can be throughout the meat. Hamburgers should be cooked until an internal temperature of 160F is reached. Anything less and you are taking risks with your health.
Reply:Burgers are not your best option for pink. Steak is ok, the grinding process to make burger can allow alot of bacteria into the meat. If the temp of the meat gets high enough it's ok. If you frequent the place and it's clean, you will most likely be ok. Medium well is safer.
Reply:That's how I eat it. Its all has to do with the internal temp. Rare beef isn't bad for you..but its not the best for you, a little pink in the middle is good. You won't get worms.
Reply:Yes, very safe. Have you ever heard of steak tartar? Raw ground beef with seasonings. Very tasty. Also, Carpachio. Raw beef sliced thin then marinated. The meat you eat though is only as safe as the place that is prepareing it. If the establishment is not clean or employees hands are not wahsed, you do run a risk of contracting the E Coli bacteria. On a whole, I'd say eat up.
Reply:If the place is clean and you have had no problem from them before. Cant see a problem, I often eat rare to medium home made burgers but I trust my butcher.

Will two medium sized pumpkins be enough to make one pumpkin pie?

I have two medium sized pumpkins i want to make into pumpkin pie. I am completely new to this. Can some one give me specific directions on how to empty the pumpkin and use its meat for pie, how much I need, everything I need to know?

Best answer 11pts, thanks

Will two medium sized pumpkins be enough to make one pumpkin pie?
Honestly, it takes 5 hours to stew the pumpkin for pie, so you might want to buy a can instead. Make sure you have sugar pumpkins, not jack o' lantern pumpkins. Start with 10 pounds of pumkins. Clean out seeds and guts. Peel the skin off with a peeler or paring knife. Cut pumpkin into cubes and place in a stainless steel or iron pot with 1 cup of water. Bring it to a low boil stirring often. If it burns, it's ruined.

All the juice and water will boil away. When it reaches the texture of applesauce, turn the heat up for 10 minutes to dry it out-- keep stirring! Remove from heat and take out 2 cups for pie--the remainder can be eaten with butter and is pretty good.

Pie: Have your crust ready.

preheat oven to 425

in a bowl, beat 2 eggs, 2/3 cup of brown sugar, a pinch of salt, 1 1/4 cup of whole milk or half %26amp; half, 1 pinch each of cinnamom, cloves, nutmeg and ginger (or use pumpkin pie spice according to directions on jar)

pour mixture into the pie shell, and bake at 425 for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 and bake till crust is brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.

Hope this helps you out!
Reply:Yes, you only need 2 cups or so of pumkin. 2 pumpkins should be plenty.
Reply:wow

That sounds like more than enough

so buy a couple of the rolled pie crusts (they keep well)

NOW

slice the pumpkin remove the seeds and strings and lightly scrape the inside clean quarter it an remove the stem

bake on a foil lined cookie sheet 350F approx 35min

test by sticking a fork in easily. Remove Cool

Scrape the meat into a bowl (blender) and puree,

Done

One can of pumpkin is 15oz and = 1 3/4 c

makes a 9in pie....????

good LUCK. sounds like 6 to 8 pies from here ☺
Reply:Yes, two medium size pumpkins should be enough for one small pumpkin pie. The best way to empty the pumpkin is to scrape all the guts out.

Good luck,

Make your own; just get the stuff at the Dollar Store and put it in a shoebox. Think of anything that could happen and buy the stuff you would need to take care of it .

I have never asked for a rare or medium rare steak, is it good?

I always tell them to fully cook my meat but im curious has anyone ever had rare or medium rare steak? is it good? whats the difference?

I have never asked for a rare or medium rare steak, is it good?
I have eaten steak that was barely warm on the top and bottom and very cold inside and prefer anything under medium. I like the taste. I usually get rare or medium rare. You can taste the meat taste. I also prefer it without all the horribly strong salts restaurants seem to roll the steak in nowadays. My husband's has to be well done - very well done.

To experiment, buy a piece of steak and cook it just a little. Taste it. See if you want it cooked more. You just experiment until you find what you prefer.
Reply:I prefer my steaks to be medium....still pink in the middle, but cooked on the outside. When the steaks is cooked to medium, it's still very juicy, not dried out at all.

My husband prefers his steaks to be well done....cook all the way through. When steaks are cooked this way, they tend to toughen up and lose a lot of their flavor, as well as their juices.

A rare steak is all pink, and just barely cooked. My husband once dated a girl who liked her steaks still breathing...extrememly rare. He always talks about how she would tell the server at restaurants to cook her steaks only for the minimum amount of time allowable by law. The steaks would make it to the table still bleeding and "mooing". Gross!

Steak preferences all depend on the person. I'd recommend buying a steak or two and cooking them up as samples. Cut in a few pieces, then cook each one for a different amount of time, then taste each one and see what you like the best. You never know, you may find you like yours still "mooing".
Reply:mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

medium is the way to go......not too cooked not too bloody.......it's just right!
Reply:medium-rare means it's not cooked as thoroughly so it has more of a "bloody" complexion to it.

I like it better
Reply:I prefer medium. Medium rare and rare steaks have alot of flavor but the texture is too "slimey". You should try a medium steak, where it is still juicy and pink in the middle, but has a slightly drier texture.
Reply:I like medium. Never rare. Med-rare is good but not a big steak.
Reply:i LOVE and always order medium-rare its not to bloody and not to undercooked so i think its just right
Reply:even the best cut of meat cooked well done taste like **** or like a tire, me personally i like it medium, thats if the steak is 2 inches or thicker if the steak is less than that it should always be MR. It will always be juicer and to me taste better.
Reply:I have only tried medium rare stake, the only difference that I can tell is that sometimes it is more moist than well done, and my dad loves his steak rare, to the point that there is still blood dripping. Looks nasty to me but every one have their own likes and dislikes.
Reply:It's juicier. Yum Yum.
Reply:for the more renowed steak houses, like norton's steak house or those to die for ones in chicago, it's usually best to tell the waiter that you'll have it done whatever way the cook thinks it's best.

when deciding between rare and medium rare for your steaks, it boils down to the extent of marbling in the steak. for steak cuts with marbling (fat) running throughout the piece then it's better to get it medium rare cause you want to cook it to let the flavour of the marble to develop with the heat, which would improve the overall flavour and texture of the steak, allowing you to fully appreciate the quality of the beef.

personally for the slightly leaner dry aged beef where the flavour of the meat is left to develop during the curing process, i usually have it 'blue' where the steak barely gets to touch the grill. it's only seared very briefly on both sides so you wouldn't be eating a cold slab of meat.

but i like my steaks bloody. so it's most preferences.
Reply:I like you, would always order my steaks well done. I got tired of steaks that were tough. Someone told me to try medium rare or at least medium. So I did, and love med. rare. It is much more tender. The longer steaks are cooked the can become tough. I order medium rare now. If you didn't like it, (but I think you will,) you can send it back to cook to med.

What's the difference in steaks being cooked medium or medium well?

I thought that medium was done but not dry. I ordered one that way and it was RAW in the middle!

I had it sent back and the waitress told me that the way I wanted it was medium well.

Another restaurant I went to I asked for the steak medium and they cooked it just like they did when I sent the one back from the previous sentence!

What's the difference?

What's the difference in steaks being cooked medium or medium well?
To best answer your question, I suggest going to this site:

http://www.steakology.com/guidetogoodgri...

With steak it’s all about temperature:

Rare: 120 degrees core temperature

Medium-rare: 126 degrees

Medium: 135 degrees

Medium Well: 145 degrees

Well Done: Let's not even talk about it.

Being a 'cook' with a chef degree, I have found that most chain restaurants only serve rare, medium well or done, omitting medium and medium rare. Maybe this has to do with the resting time. A steak should rest a bit before serving so they may under cook it because the temperature is slightly rising while it rest.

Medium well should be pink in the core, done to me is burnt! Not completely, but it’s done! You never, and I know people do, eat done steak, only because it kills the flavor! Sure if it’s seasoned to perfection a done steak is good, but a medium to medium well when it is a little pink or bloody...is the best sealer of juices.

Take a look at this site as well, it will show you what steak should look like:

http://www.goodcooking.com/steak/donenes...

I suggest buying a cooking thermometer, a decent cut of steak and experiment, so the next time you go out, you will know exactly what temperature you like!
Reply:Every restaurant has their own idea of what tempuratures should look like. Some places put medium closer to medium rare and others are closer to the medium well side. Medium should be still fairly red in the center w/traces of pink around the outside. If your looking for something to be cooked w/traces of pink but not dry order medium-well. If your out and about and go to a restaurant you've never been to before ask your server what tempurature is best for cooked thru w/traces of pink. The server should know best which tempurature to order for you.
Reply:medium is pink inside but hot to the touch. also medium well will have no pink and will be firm when poked in the middle. medium should sink in a bit when poked in the middle
Reply:Medium should mean just a bit pink inside. I don't order medium/well done any more. I tell them I want it pink in the center. I usually get it the way I like it ordering it that way.
Reply:medium is pretty red inside, med well is actually cooked but not dry, rare is just showing the meat to the grill. well done is no red no pink and rather dry
Reply:medium is a half cooked steak it makes it juicy if u dont like it jus get it well done

What does it exactly mean by small, medium, large?

On Petfinder there are small, medium, and large cats and I was just wondering if that means how big the cat is currently or how big it will turn out to be when older. Thanks

What does it exactly mean by small, medium, large?
It means how big it will turn when it is full grown. A small cat would be 5-6 pounds and under. Medium would be 6-10, large could mean 10-15 or sometimes just 15+. Most cats are medium sized.
Reply:My "Pete" averages 16lbs where my "Ralph"

usually averages 25lbs. When Ralph became

so big I was concerned. The vet told me it

wasn't a surprise to him because his head and

chest were so big. He was large; and Pete was

medium.
Reply:Depending on the age of the cat. If it's a kitten they are predicting how big they will be when fully grown. If it's an adult cat, it's telling it's current size.
Reply:How big they will be full grown. Small is a little bigger than kitten, medium is about average and large are those big cats about the size of a teenage cocker spaniel

Why do people order steaks cooked any hotter than medium rare?

Don't they realize that making steak any more than medium rare is a way to ruin a good piece of meat? Do people mainly do it at lower end restaurants and, therefore, know that they are getting lower quality cuts and hope that cooking all the juices out of the meat will keep them safe or have they just never learned the proper way to enjoy red meat by letting it's flavor come through by not overcooking it?

Why do people order steaks cooked any hotter than medium rare?
it's a fear thing , they can't stand the sight of the blood dripping off the end of they're fork. honestly though i believe if you blind folded them + served a nice med piece of quality cut meat , they would enjoy it until you removed the blind fold , then it would be right back to the same old " that is gross "
Reply:It's not blood, though is it? So the argument about being squeamish about something that isn't there doesn't really hold up. Report It

Reply:Some people like the idea of eating a steak but can't bring themselves to eat it properly cooked (med/rare for me!) and since they can't stand the thought of eating something that looks like it is still bleeding, they cook the crap out of it. Also, if someone is ordering a steak, they can say "hey, look at me and what I can afford!"...steak isn't cheap after all, especially the better cuts.
Reply:Some people don't like to see the blood, and others don't like the smooth consistency of rarer meat, and others can't eat it unless it is really hot and yet others like their meat chewy and so they like it cooked more. I also knew someone that got food poisoning from meat once, and after that they could only eat it well-done.

It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with lower end restaurants. It is usually peoples past experiences with food that effect what they like. I have known many rich people who grew up going to super fine dining, that ate their meat well done. We just all have different tastes and wants.

I used to eat my meat rare and moo-ing (like just walk it past the fire), but over time I moved to med-rare, and sometimes I even want it med. Mostly that is because I want it really hot. My norm now is to order it butterfly cut, and rare to med-rare depending upon the place.

The best thing to remember is that diversity in life is part of what keeps it interesting... so why does it bother you so much if someone wants their meat different from you? It is ruined in your eyes, but to them it is perfect. Do you want to change them, or let them revel in who they are and what makes *them* happy:)
Reply:right now I have to, ok so actually I won't order one now. I am pregnant and they say not to eat any pink meat so I will wait till the baby is born then I will have a nice juicy Filet mignon. Yummy!!! can't wait for 4 more months to go by
Reply:Why do people order steaks at all?

Me, I tend to be vegetarian.

Betcha you would shun a steak had you seen the animal just prior to it being slaughtered.

Or, then again, some people don't care.
Reply:Maybe they dont want to seee any blood oozing out of it !!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Honestly, I get scared of red meat because I think it's undercooked and it could be harboring bacteria. I've never used thermometers to cook either, so to be on the safe side, I usually overcook stuff.

Are you saying if something is medium rare, it's still hot enough to have killed bacteria? Or, are you throwing caution to the wind in favor of a tastier steak?

Medium rare = 130 - 140 degrees F

USDA recommendation = 145
Reply:I don't like any food cooked to the point where it's dried out, but it should be a crime to ruin a good steak by overcooking it. I agree with you completely.
Reply:Because that's how some people like their steaks.:)
Reply:why don't you join the government, they are trying to tell us how and what to eat too.you eat your steak your way and we will eat ours how we like it.Buzz off!!
Reply:I would say that it must be a matter of taste. I like them rare but if I question the quality of the meat then I will get it well.
Reply:I prefer Med Rare as it is most tender. and flavorful, at that point.

Leo Lion, the only difference between killing of meat and killing of plant life is that you cannot hear the plants scream out and their life is cut short. Plant life is also a living organism.

We all must kill to eat whether it is an animal or plants. As a Buddhist, before I consume any food, I thank whatever gave up its life to sustain mine.

I respect your decision to eat without the consumption of meat, please, extend the same courtesy to those that have chosen to do otherwise.
Reply:This always got to me too. I have no idea.

My parents used to own a restaurant and if anybody ordered there steak more than medium rare my mum would ask them to leave.

By medium size, I mean numbers between say 10 and 300 digits long, the kind used for encryption. Someone somewhere must have set their supercomputer running to work them all out, and so I figure there must be a list somwhere.

What color blonde should I dye my medium brown hair?

I have a bit of a tan now but naturally I have light colored skin .. My eyes are green and my hair and eyebrows are medium brown. I want to dye my hair blonde but I'm not sure if I should just get highlights or if I should go all over blonde, and also I need to know what colors of blonde I should use. Thanks

What color blonde should I dye my medium brown hair?
go a dirty brown, so that your brows and hair match it.

you can have brownish roots with a few really blonde tips.
Reply:Coloring your hair enhances your looks and confidence to carry yourself. Hair color offer instant change to anyone's look. The changes can range from simple and subtle to major and dramatic. Hair color can also impact hair texture since it will instantly add volume to thin, fine strands and may impact curls and waves in some cases. Men and women have been coloring their hair since the beginning of time using chemicals, plants and pigments. In recent times, men and women dye their hair a variety of colors including everything from blonde to blue. Hair dye is made up of pigments (color) or bleaches. The natural color of human hair is first and foremost directly tied to hereditary factors. Hair coloring can add spice and enhance many hair styles. A good hair color can add shine, drama and fun to your hair style. It can make some hair types easier to style. Permanent hair coloring breaks down the hair cuticle and deposits pigment into the hair shaft. Unlike semi-permanent hair color, permanent hair color can lighten your hair. It accomplishes this by bleaching hair and depositing color in a one-step process.

Hair color is created by the movement of light rays either as they are absorbed or reflected by artificial pigment added to the hair in the tinting process, or by natural hair pigment.

Permanent hair color can cover gray hair more extensively. Permanent hair color can be damaging to hair, and long-term usage can result in permanent irreversible harm to your hair. Natural hair color is created by the reflection or absorption of light rays by melanin. The size, amount and distribution of melanin determines the ultimate hair color. Great numbers of large melanin molecules distributed throughout the cortext to create different colors. The various combination in the size, amount and distribution of melanin creates all natural hair color. Reapply your color as often as recommended and use products specially formulated for color-treated hair like Pantene Pro-V Expressions. Avoid over-exposing your hair to the sun and shampoo or rinse soon after swimming, or residues left in the hair will accelerate fading.

Hair coloring is very popular today, with over 75% of women coloring their hair. When choosing your color, pick one that is 1 to 3 times lighter than your own natural color. Use color enhancing shampoos, conditioners and other products. Many companies offer these even different shades. Try to match the shade as close to possible as the color you used. Use a layer of color, instead of using one shade throughout your hair. Try to avoid the sun and the chlorine in swimming pools. Both of these can fade your color. Never wash your color treated hair in hot water. Use cool to lukewarm water and finish with cold water to help seal the cuticles of your hair. Temporary or semi-permanent haircolors may deposit acidic dyes onto the outside of the hair shaft or may consist of small pigment molecules that can slip inside the hair shaft, using a small amount of peroxide or none at all. In some cases, a collection of several colorant molecules enter the hair to form a larger complex inside the hair shaft. Shampooing will eventually dislodge temporary hair color.

Reply:If now you need a simple advice (from anyone), I can tell you to dye your hair into dark honey blonde, but NOT bleach fake blonde. I think this color would look good with your skin and eyes. But if you want a really good advice, go to a professional ;)

Good luck! :)
Reply:I would go to a colour stylist and ask for a 9.3 very light golden blonde with a silver toner to bring out the colour so it wont have any brassy tones, since your hair colour is not a blonde. I would recomend getting foils for your first blonding trip. Get the hair dresser to put in thinner foils not chunky. This gives an overall apperance of a lighter hair colour. Also when it grows out It doesnt look so obvious. Remember approx every 2-3 weeks you would have to re-colour a full head. Streaks most people do every 2 months. keep in mind the cost of up keep.
Reply:you may want to frost your hair or go to a colorist to get it done right. good luck mitch from Mane Tamers

Reply:Your lucky, your going from blond to blond. Get your basic powder and I recomend a cream activator level 3 or 4 , cream should help with the damage. I wouldn't use foil and keep cheacking the color. I do this all the time. Good luck !
Reply:NOOOOOOOOOO!!! bleaching you hair yourself never works!! Get it done at your salon!!

But if i can't persuade you put loads of bleach in and then a tonner the coulor you want, good luck. xxxxxx

What's the best foundation for medium coverage?

I am looking for a good medium coverage foundation. I am currently using Bare Esentuals powder foundation and have been for two years now. My only complaint is that I have *very noticable* red broken capillaries around my nose and dark eye circles and even using the concealer (bisque) and foundation rubs off easily. I'm looking for something with a bit more coverage and high end makeup (I can't wear anything from drugstores) but something that's not going to break my face out.

Also, I dont have an especially oily face and when I use neutrogena acne wash, proactive, etc it just dried my face out and made my breakouts worse. I've recently started to use the Clinique 3 step skincare line (the soap, toner (lotion), and moisturizing facial gel for skin type "3" which is oily in tzones and its worked awesome for my face. My zits have totally gone away so I don't have awful acne or anything, I've just been using Bare Escentuals mineral makeup for so long now i don't want my pores to clog.

What's the best foundation for medium coverage?
I've been using Clinique's 3 Step system as well and it is awesome! I've just started using Clinique's Superbalanced Makeup and it works great for combination skin. You should try it out!
Reply:bare minerals works pretty well on covering my broken capillaries, i use mineral veil first, then spot conceal, then foundation, and i finish with mineral veil, and it stays on all day long. philosophy has a great skincare line for acne (at sephora), and i use the "dark shadows" and "eye believe" under eye creams to lighten my dark circles.
Reply:mary medium coverage foundation is just what u need.it's just $14.
Reply:I would recommend either of these foundations for you. They are very good quality but not too expensive to break your bank.

I've read and heard that it's dangerous to cook with olive oil on medium-high heat. Is this true?

I've read and heard that it's dangerous to cook with olive oil on medium-high heat. Is this true?

I've read also that it releases toxic radicals, which is why it's smells funky when it's heated in a pan like that.

I'm planning to make a hummus later, which requires me to heat up olive oil.

Is this stuff true about olive oil, though? Please help. Thanks!

I've read and heard that it's dangerous to cook with olive oil on medium-high heat. Is this true?
No it is not true. There is a danger of fire when cooking with any oil on the stove or oven. This is a fire hazard and is reduced by paying attention while cooking and can be further reduced by having a home fire extinguisher in the kitchen. The olive oil will not release toxins when placed over medium or higher heat levels. If this were true the FDA would ban the product from the market.
Reply:It is the best oil for the body. Use it any way you like.
Reply:olive oil will burn up quickly so too high heat olive oil is not the best.
Reply:It's not that it's dangerous, but it might burn. Olive oil doesn't withstand high heat like veg. oil does.
Reply:no don't be silly
Reply:No heating olive oil is not dangerous. It is only dangerous if you heat it to a broil, and it steams up and boils over the pan. It is safe to heat as long as you don't get it too hot. Medium high heat is ok, but if the oil broils over turn the heat down. If it hits the burner when it broils over it can catch fire. If this happens put a cover over the pan or pot, and put it out with a properer fire extinguisher.
Reply:I've read that when you overheat EVOO, it reduces the antioxidants, which will reduce its health benefits, and also can impact the flavor. I've never heard of it being dangerous. Here's a good article in the San Diego Union Trib.

How many cups of canned pumpkin are equivalent to the flesh of 2 medium-sized pumpkins?

I have some leftover canned pumpkin and i want to make pumpkin soup, but the recipe i found only gives the measure of "the flesh of 2 medium pumpkins." How much canned pumpkin is that?

How many cups of canned pumpkin are equivalent to the flesh of 2 medium-sized pumpkins?
The pumpkin really cooks down when you bake it so I would say about a can and a half of canned pumpkin, maybe two cans.

How do I make over easy/medium eggs?

Well my favorite kind of eggs are over easy, or over medium, but the problem is I can rarely actually make them without them breaking or messing up or anything. So I need some help on exactly how I can make them

What size Pan should I use?

How Many Eggs can be made at a time?

How much oil do I put in the pan?

What temp should I cook it at?

How long do I wait before putting the eggs in?

when do I know it's time to flip them?

and

how do I flip them without breaking the yolk?

thanks in advance.

How do I make over easy/medium eggs?
Don't flip them. Instead cover the pan with a lid when you cook them. This will keep the heat in the pan cook the top of the eggs for you. Then you can just serve them up with a spatula and eat them:)
Reply:You can use a metal bowel or pie tin for a lid. Report It

Reply:you cook them...
Reply:Medium frying pan not stick, 2 eggs, small amount of oil or butter or margarine, medium heat, when pan is warm but not hot, flip them when they turn white and when you wiggle the pan they slide around, flip them close to the pan kinda just turning them over. Good luck and pratice makes perfect.
Reply:I would use a medium sized pan. I would practice with one egg at a time until you get the hang of it. Spray the pan with cooking spray as if you were putting hairspray on your Grandma's hair.

I would preheat the pan on medium heat. Preheat for about a minute. I'd say when the egg white has almost turned all white using a plastic flipper scoop up the egg and quickly, but GENTLY flip the egg. Good luck!
Reply:Ah come on matt get real.LOL
Reply:A small size of pan it ok, further it much more easy to handle.

Do it one at a time, you really can't control 2 eggs in one flip (you can if you practice a lot :) .

A bit of oil is enough just ensure you move the oil on all of the pan surface. This is to prevent the egg stick once you start to fry it. Put it at mild temperature (don't wait untill you pan start smoked) . Once you have pour the egg...do some foward inward action...to prevent the egg not stick to the hot pan ..once u see the egg moving...and the bottom a bit fried ....flip it nicely . A gentle flip won't destroy the egg yolk since it already a bit gel.

Hope that help!
Reply:roomy nonstick pan (enough to easily maneuver a spatula)

at med - med/hi

drop a few drops of water on the pan, if it sizzles %26amp; cooks away, your good to add:

nonstick spray or a little butter or oil

then the eggs

when the whites get opaque %26amp; kinda start pulling up on the edges you want to flip them (also, look at the bottom of the yolk, if you can. don't let it get lighter %26amp; opaque at all!)

flip them ONE at a time with a large spatula, (you can cut them apart in the whites with the spatula if they ran together, or if the yolks are too close together to do that then do at the same time) get them completely on there (esp the yolk part!) and gently but quickly flip them over... it takes practice!! i still break one every once in a while. you want it to land gently, but not fold.

What kind of violin bridge is the best for a beginner, Low, Medium or high?

I am trying to get a violin bridge online, but there are Low, Medium and High three different kinds of bridges,I am confused.

What kind of violin bridge is the best for a beginner, Low, Medium or high?
Many people buy pre-notched and pre-fitted bridges, especially if they are in the low income level. I keep a few in my room for emergencies myself. The best thing to do is to match the bridge as closely as you can with the one that broke. The "high" bridge is generally made for 4/4 violins (full size violins) with a high fingerboard. The "Medium" bridges are generally made for a violin with a low fingerboard or a high soundboard. The "low" Bridges are almost always for a 3/4 size violin or a custom made instrument. The spacing between the notches can also give you some strong indication as to whether the bridge was made for a full size or three quarter size violin.

I agree that it is always better to get a custom made bridge, but the last student who got a custom bridge fitted for his instrument got a bill for fifty five dollars. I have several students whose parents would pull them out of the program if they got a bill for fifty five dollars for a bridge. I also have several students whose entire instrument cost about a hundred dollars and the bridges on those instruments are exactly the same as the ones I replace them with.

If you can't afford a custom bridge, either match the bridge to the one that broke, or choose the bridge that clears the strings all the way down the fingerboard without causing any buzz or canceling out (where the string sounds like the same note no mater where you place it. It should also never be more than about an eighth of an inch away from the fingerboard at any one spot and should not make the instrument any harder to play than it was when you had your old bridge on it. The counter person at the music store, or the repair person should be able to advise you for free, or ask your music teacher or band director.

Some instrumentalists also buy an extra bridge to keep in the case. If they play more than one style of music, they may keep a rounded and a flat bridge in the same case for when they are playing gypsy or fiddle music (lots of double and triple stops) Most musicians keep separate instruments around for different styles of playing however. Changing bridges often can be really hard on strings.

Try to get a bridge with "adjustable feet" if you do not get a custom made bridge. These bridges are more likely to conform to the top of your instrument without digging into it or damaging it, and are more likely to transmit the sound.

Hope this helps. If I missed anything feel free to give me a shout and I'll do what I can.
Reply:The height of a bridge doesn't have anything to do with the developmental level of the player; you shouldn't buy a bridge yourself -- you should take your instrument to a luthier and have a bridge fitted to your instrument.

How much food does a medium-sized dog eat each day?

I'm trying to work out how much it would cost me to keep a dog.

He'll only be exercising once a day. I wont spend money on the luxury dog foods, but at the same time I want him to get a healthy balance %26amp; variety of taste-experiences.

What is the recommended daily amount of dry dog-foods and tinned dog-meats to feed an average mature medium-size dog? If you keep such a dog, what do you feed it %26amp; how much do you spend?

How much food does a medium-sized dog eat each day?
i have 2 german shepherds crosses and i buy and big bag of cheap dry dog food that is low in protein for £7 and this lasts them 2 weeks. i also buy the big tins of cheap dog meat that last them about 5 days. my dogs both get fed twice a day and also get taken a walk once a day.

so that gives you an idea how much it will cost you.

im sorry but i dont agree with you gavin!!!!

dogs can be taken out once a day!! if you have a good garden!!!!!

how can it be neglect if you only take your dog out once a day??

why are people so stupid when they answer these things!!
Reply:Walk into any pet store and check out the dog food aisle. On each bag of almost any brand, there will be a chart, explaining how many cups to feed your dog based on their age and weight. Find out the adult weight of the breed you’re considering and figure it out based on the chart.

Don’t listen to anyone who says “three bowls a day” or “one bowl a day” because all bowls are different sizes!

You should also know a medium sized dog (or any dog, really) needs much more than one exercise session unless that one session is extremely long and vigorous. If you don't have the time to exercise it more often than that, then please consider waiting for a time in your life when you will have the time you will need.

Also, how much exercises he gets will not change the amount of food he needs. If you’re thinking of keeping him calm so he won’t need to eat as much and you'll save money, your plan will not work.
Reply:i have a large staffie cross who eats approx two cupfulls of iams dry dog food three times a day,i also have a bichon frise who eats a handful three times a day! It will cost you approx ten-fifteen pounds a week for a medium sized dog..
Reply:You should only feed your dog once a day with one tin of dog food if its a medium dog. With maybe some dogie biscuits in their food. Just be aware of those vets bills if you want to keep a dog they can get quite expensive. But the normal run of the mill up keep of a dog isn't too bad.
Reply:I spend $5 on a huge bag of dog food. I feed her about 9 cups a day.
Reply:don't feed it dry food all the time it does not help there digestive system i know it is convenient to feed them with it
Reply:what is your dogs name? if it is a medium sized dogs then it should eat three bowls a day i should know i have meduim sized dog.
Reply:you shouldn't buy a dog!!! get a goldfish! dogs need excercising 3 times a day and feeding twice. do not buy a dog if you intend to neglect it

How do i beat the computer on medium in skirimish for the game Command & Conquer 3?

I need some tips on how to beat the medium computer in c%26amp;c 3 skrimish. Think You!

How do i beat the computer on medium in skirimish for the game Command %26amp; Conquer 3?
The computers pretty much do the same rushes of tanks and infantry. Sometimes they mix it up but are usually pretty predictable. If you're getting hit hard early focus on an initial layer of defense (against computers building defenses is fine, but most defensive buildings can be easily destroyed by another human). But be sure to keep a mobile reserve of tanks in case a ranged unit targets your defensive buildings. Once your perimeter is secure then focus on resources and you're good to win short of a bad screwup. Against the computer if you survive for 5 mins or so you're basically guaranteed a win.

Can I curl synthtic kankelon medium sized braids?

I have medium sized braids braided with kanekalon in my hair. Can I use big curlers to make the braids wavy/curly? And if I do will they stay in for a long time? How would I go about this?

Can I curl synthtic kankelon medium sized braids?
yes curlers will work and if you want them to stay for a long time here is how. Boil hot water over stove, while waiting, roll your braids in the curlers[not one at a time, maybe 5-6 braids in one roller],once the water is hot carefully put a few of your rollers [with hair still there] in the water for about a min. Then remove from heat and take a clean towel to ring out extra water. Then just do the same thing for the rest of your hair, and once your done take out all rollers and TA-DA! u have curli hair. I can't really explain it that well as of now, but if your considering my answer, feel free to e-mail me!
Reply:I only scanned the above answerers answer, but she seems to have it exactly right.

Only thing, when I used to use Kanekalon fiber, instead of using rollers, I would simply braid the braids into big braids, - for example, you could probably make 10 fat braids with your full head of single braids. Then you'd dip those into your basin of hot water. Curling your hair this way, however, will give you a different type of curl as opposed to the 'roller' style braid.

Rollers/Hot Water - This Type Curl:

Big Braids/Hot Water - This Type Curl:

Once you do the hot water thing, it will last for quite a while, at least a month. It's then very easy to either re-curl to tighten them up, or, get them straight again, by simply boiling another pot of water, pouring it into a basin, then letting the curled braids sit in the water for a bit to steam and essentially straighten back out.

I've been microbraiding my hair since yesterday (Saturday) morning, and I am just here procrastinating........ I'd better get back... good luck.

How many mls of vermouth in a martini define dry/likewise for medium?

If a customer asks " i would like a medium martini", how many mls of vermouth would you put in?

Like wise how many mls define a dry martini?

Or does it just depend on whether to use Martini extra dry vermouth or something else?

How many mls of vermouth in a martini define dry/likewise for medium?
it's not necessarily mls... just go by part... equal parts vermouth and vodka
Reply:You would ALWAYS use Extra Dry Vermouth.

For a "medium", just use a splash,

for a dry, just use a tiny bit,

for an extra dry, don't use any vermouth.
Reply:i've never heard of a "medium" martini, but for an extra dry, i swirl two drops in a martini glass and then pour it out. then add the gin/vodka.
Reply:I admit to being overly fond of "extra, extra dry" martini's. The proper method of mixing follows:

Into a suitably chilled glass, pour a generous amount of chilled Bombay or Boodles gin.

Stride briskly past a closed bottle of dry vermouth.

Sit down and enjoy.
Reply:The classic Martini was designed to be made with 6 parts gin to 1 part dry vermouth. I have never met anyone who actually drinks one of these and I have been bartending for 30 years.

Essentially, the order "Dry Martini" is there for people who don't want to actually say, "Give me a glass of gin."

The Martini was developed during prohibition, a time when illicitly made gin tasted like crap. The Italian grape distillation, Vermouth, was available and made the awful gin drinkable. Our gins are soooo much better nowadays.

Anyone who drinks a Vodka Martini is just a pussy. They should just be a man and order their Grey Goose on the rocks and be done with it.
Reply:dry would mean less vermouth in the martini/manhattan, and can refer to both the dry vermouth and the sweet vermouth. less of both is considered dry.

As said before, when I make an extra dry martini, pour in a little into the glass, swirl and discard. for a regular one, I do a one count, (one second of pour) that is pretty much the standard. For manhattans, the really old guys like them real sweet as they were made long time ago, maybe a two count , some will even want a 50/50 ratio. nasty!!!

Why does light slow down in a medium such as crystal?

If light does slow down depending on the medium it travels through, how slow can it be slowed down?

I don't mean stopped completely as hitting a lead wall, but going through a transparent medium.

Can it be slowed down enough for machine to detect it's wave or particle?

Why does light slow down in a medium such as crystal?
when the light passes through a medium its two componets i.e EM field due to the resistance and reluctance of the medium begin to reduce not in strength but in speed of creation .......... this slows down the lights speed

practically its due to interaction of the photon of light by the atoms as it is absorbed and again radiated ............

however due to its large speed the speed cannot be slowed down very much ... to be detected if it's wave or particle
Reply:Most likely when two particle of light are touching their speed would be in the vicinity of close to zero. Other wise how could lightparticle become locked in the electron after atomic absorption? The electron does not move at the speed of light. Report It

How long should I lay outside if I want to get a light/medium sun tan?

The UV levels are about medium today. How many minutes do you think it will take to get a little bit of a suntan? I know tanning is bad for you because of the risk of skin cancer and all that stuff, but I don't tan very often so I'm not really worried and I'm not going to get that dark or get burned.

How long should I lay outside if I want to get a light/medium sun tan?
Try one hour (1/2 hr on each side) the first time, and if you don't burn too much, repeat it every two or three days.
Reply:HI,,,, not over an hour on each side......

depending on what kind of skin tone you have,, i have dark skin, the italian-native american type....so it doesnt take long.....

what my doctor told me,, is that with my type,, i dont have to really worry about the skin cancer very much,, i get checked every year any way....

good luck
Reply:be smart. use a tanning lotion which protects you and protect your skin and you just need couple minutes to get the tan....

try Banana Boat tanning lotion in dark or bronze in case or depends how much dark you want your skin to be.

Or easier ... use baby lotion... it gets you a beautiful sun kissed color in your skin
Reply:This is my system for getting a tan, and this may need to be altered depending on your skin type ( do you burn easily? freckle?)

Put on SPF 30 all over and lay out in direct sunlight for 30 min on front and back (it helps to make a 30 min long playlist on your I-pod for timing). Then take a 15 min break and re apply sunscreen, and lay out for another hour (30 min on each side).

This is easiest to do when its not SUPER hot (aka 104) but more like 85 or 90 with no cloud cover.

And remember to moisturize after to soothe your skin!
Reply:Any sun exposure gives you a higher percentage of developing skin cancer. I would use an SPF 4, and lay out about 15 mins on each side, then take a break in the shade. If you go in the water, reapply the SPF 4 before laying out again.

Remember: You won't see much of a change until you go home and shower, so don't stay out too long!
Reply:about 40
Reply:I wear SPF 30 every time I go out in the sun because I had a skin cancer scare.I STILL tan I just don't get the harmful rays. The rule of thumb is 15 minutes per side without sunblock.4 to 6 hours with. The sun ages you so be careful.Always moisturize the skin.I Love Olay lotions. They have a glowing effect on the skin and adds tiny little sparkles that you can see when you are outside.Looks sexy smells great.
Reply:Hi there, I suggest starting out for 10 minutes, then increasing from there if you don't notice much change. I wouldn't lay out any longer than 20-30 minutes though a day. Good luck!
Reply:Ouch. Just think: wrinkles when I"m 40...wrinkles when I'm 40...wrinkles when I'm 40. I know you know and have heard it all before, but deliberatly laying out in the sun to get a tan is like raping your skin. Even just a little bit. Not just because of skin cancer either. People nowdays want to look 20 when they are really 35-40, and if you damage your skin by exposing it to the extremes of tanning, there is no going back. ONce the damage is done, its done, no reversing it. Of course everyone thinks a tan looks beautifull, but a leathery, wrinkly, dried up old woman at only 40 yrs of age doesnt. Best bet is to play it safe now, so you can enjoy your later years looking beautifull too. Go for the fake airbrushed look, it looks wonderfull and natural, without the damage.
Reply:It depends on your skin type, ancestry, and how easily you burn. For fair skin it will take 5 days at 15 minutes to develop color. Longer than that will cause you to burn.
Reply:Try 30 minutes without UV cream, and then put some on and stay out for three more hours
Reply:15 min. than flip, than 15 more min. than flip, and repeat
Reply:well u lay out there till you c that ur skin is wat u want it to be

How much is 3 medium crooked neck squash?

I have a recipe that calls for 3 medium crooked neck squash, sliced. I have some frozen squash that I would like to substitute. Can anyone tell me how many ounces/cups I should use?

How much is 3 medium crooked neck squash?
Hey TJ....The wife and I keep a little vegetable garden out back every year and 3 of her medium crook neck squash would each go about a cup
Reply:(1) From the recipe "Spectacular Squash"

2 lb. yellow crookneck squash (6 c. sliced)

(2) From the recipe "Chilled Cream of Dilled Squash Soup

2 yellow crookneck squash, each about 3/4 lb

So 3 cups per pound and 3/4 lb per squash, for 3 squash, would equal 9/4 lbs or just over 2 pounds or 6 cups

How do I make medium - tight ringlets stay in place all night?

I have long hair just above my waist which seems to dislike staying in curls. I have 4 hours to get this style right and the look I want to achive is medium - tight ringlets. I have a very important date (BF %26lt;3) which is kind of a big deal to me right now and I'm going to be out all night (movie, dinner then drinking) any tips or advice? My tool is a curling iron and i have mousses, hairsprays, etc.

How do I make medium - tight ringlets stay in place all night?
you don't want to use too much mouse because it will weigh your hair down even more. You need to use mouse or gel, and then a super super helmet head kind of hairspray. My guess is though, that as the night goes on and you have along hair, your hair will be weighed down. If you get a perm, then you don't have to worry about it - with that hair, though, the rollers will be beastly heavy. I think you should be satisifed with your hair in tossled waves. You should be looking for that kind of look instead.

How do I die my hair a medium brown?

I had natural black hair n then died it a dark brown by mistake i was supposed to die it a medium brown. i hav already waited 3 months but im not sure whether to die it again and if so how? i would like to achieve a medium golden brown or honey brown. please help!

How do I die my hair a medium brown?
Follow all of the directions on the box! Even do the color strand test they say to. You want to make sure that you aren't allergic to the dye. Once you have done the "test", make sure you wear the plastic gloves they enclose. Mix the dye together like they tell you. Then make sure you coat all your hair so it doesn't come out streaky and set a timer for the amount of time they tell you to put it in your hair for.

Wait until the timer is up, get in the shower and get a little water in your hair and lather it up, dye and all. Let it sit for another minute and rinse it out completely until the water runs clear. Then use the conditioner that they give you and leave it in your hair longer than they suggest...about 5 minutes. Rinse it out.

Allow your hair to dry naturally instead of blow-drying...it will retain more shine that way.

Wash your hair, the next day, like you normally would and condition it with your normal conditioner, but again just like with the conditioner that came with the dye; leave it in for about 5 minutes.

Make sure you leave that conditioner in for at least three minutes every time you shampoo, for the next week and your hair will be soft and shiny just like it was before you dyed it.
Reply:I had something similar happen. I used golden brown on my black hair- and nothing. I went to the salon, explained what happened and asked that they fix the problem and color my hair the color I wanted. When they were done, my hair was the blackest ever.

A girl a Sally's adviced that I should use the # 40 creme developer with my favorite color. It's stronger than the #20. It works by removing the color while depositing the new one.I figured I had nothing to loose. I came out perfect. Light brown like caramel. By the way, the girl a the store was just shopping, she was not even professional.

The next time you color though, you need to go back to a #20, if not, it'll keep lightning.

Good luck.
Reply:I would consult a hair stylist, I have tried at home dying, but in the end, its better done professionally!

Best of Luck!! ;) :)

What kind of small/medium breed dog should I get?

I want a dog that is small/medium breed. A dog that is laid-back, quiet, and loves to snuggle, but it is comfortable with walking or running 2 miles a day.

What kind of small/medium breed dog should I get?
CHECK OUT THE BREED CALLED". BEAGLE" THEY HAVE SO MUCH GOING FOR THEM THEY CARRY NO ODOURS,DON'T BARK UNLESS NECESSARY.,VERY LOYAL,LOVE A WALK/RUN, THEIR COAT REQURES NO ONGOING CLIPPING/GROOMING AND THEY "DRIP DRY" IN MINUTES NO EXPENSIVE ONGOING SALON TRIPS!. THEY ARE FINE WITH KIDS TOO! HAVE NO KNOWN GENETIC- BRED- FAULTS (LIKE SOME OTHERS FOR EXAMPLE HIP DISPLASIA PRONE FAULTS) THIS BREED IS HEALTHY . THEY ARE MEDIUM SIZED CAN'T TRIP OVER THEM AND NOT FUSSY EATERS LIKE SOME SMALL BREEDS.
Reply:definately a dauschound!! they are very energetic and love to run!!! but also love to lay around and snuggle.and they are normally very quiet unless they are disturbed by something or someone they cant identify.hope I helped
Reply:well, if you get a puppy, theres no way your getting one that is laid back and quiet. they need to play and get out energy, so if you cant handle that, you shouldnt be getting a dog. but i recommend a poodle, i have one. if you want a small dog, i recommend a miniature, because there is teacup, toy, miniature, and standard, that is in order from smallest to largest. i have the mini. they do not shed, and they are very, very smart, second smartest dog to be exact. they were originally hunting dogs, so dont think poodles are these prissy little dogs that dont do anything, like people say. they would be comfortable with running even more than 2 miles a day. they are very energetic, but they also like to snuggle with you, and i even let my dog sleep with me. the standard prob. wouldnt be able to sleep with you, its pretty big. so again, i recommend a mini poodle, they are good for soo much!

God Bless!

(ps- dont get a white one if you do, they get dirty to easily, and they get brown spots around their eyes, i recommmend a black, brown, or red.)

He is feisty but loves to be petted and will set for hours with you. He can be a bit head-strong and he loves to run.

Good luck
Reply:One of my neighbors has a German Shorthaired Pointer that she jogs several miles with daily. They're a very energetic breed if they don't get that kind of exercise. Dalmatians are the same. Australian Cattle Dogs fit your specs. The Brittany Spaniel I know would benefit from that kind of exercise though I'm not sure if he's typical for his breed or not since he's the only Brittany I know. A bit bigger, you could consider Boxers, Border Collies, or Australian Shepherds.
Reply:A Greyhound sounds like a good dog for you. If you are interested in this breed, I suggest you adopt one from a rescue, especially if it is an organization that takes them off the race course.
Reply:greyhound rescue will have your new friend, check them out.
Reply:well my favorite are teacup miniuture Yorkies.

their adorable :]
Reply:first I would say look at a shelter. There are a lot of great dogs in shelters plus the people working there can give you some great un biased advice on particular breeds/combos (unlike a dog breeder). Some breeds that I would suggest would be...beagle; basset; cocker, brittany, king cavalier or sussex spaniels...
Reply:A whippet
Reply:Whippets are cool, but they can be kinda nutty.

Beagles are great, though they are less likely to run for long distances - they catch a whiff of something interesting, and stop on a dime to sniff! Also they are occasionally pretty vocal.

You might check into some kinds of medium-size terriers.

What kind of medium length emo style haircut can I get with my blonde hair?

I have long light blonde hair, but I am ready for a new style, and want sort of an emo cut. I want it to be medium length though because of my face shape and not way too extreme. Can anyone help me out or offer some pictures or something (serious answers please) thanks! : ]

What kind of medium length emo style haircut can I get with my blonde hair?
the one you have in your avatar.
Reply:You could cut it into a sort of a bob. You know, have you seen Rihanna's hair lately? I know that sounds really stupid because you want to have an emo cut, but the way she cut it is very similar. With blonde hair, you could take one streak of brown and put it in the bangs and it would look totally awesome. My hair was like that for a while, and my hair was always at medium length.

Hope I helped.

What coffee (mild, medium, bold,or extra bold) has the most caffeine?

My brother who works at Starbucks said that medium(or mild) has more caffiene. This is hard to believe. I am 100% sure that when I drink a Bold or Extra Bold that I get more of a caffeine buzz and I feel more energy.

Is it all in my head then? Mild coffee is like drinking tea to me.

What coffee (mild, medium, bold,or extra bold) has the most caffeine?
Your brother is right. What makes a bold coffee flavor is an increase in the roasting time of the raw coffee bean, reducing not only the amount of caffeine in the bean but also the flavinoids and some other healthful side products.
Reply:Your brother is right. Mild-medium coffees aren't roasted as long so the caffeine content is higher. That's why coffees like Breakfast Blend are mild and coffees like Italian and French Roast are considered dinner coffees. People want the higher caffeine content coffees in the am!
Reply:The amount of caffine has nothing to do with how they are roasted. If you want more caffine in your coffee you need to ask and have them make it strong (making it with more grounds) or by asking them to add a shot of espresso to it (often called a Red-eye).
Reply:the longer the roast time (like dark roasts), the least caffeine the coffee will contain.

Therefore, mild roasts have the most caffeine content
Reply:Caffeine Content

All figures are approximate, especially with coffee. Different varietals can have different caffeine content, and the way the coffee is roasted can also change the values.

Double espresso (2oz) 45-100 mg (*Notice only 2 oz)

Brewed coffee (8 oz) 60-120 mg

Instant coffee (8 oz) 70 mg

Decaf coffee (8 oz) 1-5 mg
Reply:i got a heck of a buzz on dark roast and i almost passed out from the jitters... but im not that much of a dark coffee person i drink regular....

Im a size medium in abercrombie and fitch. what size would i be in abercrombie kids?
hi there :]

it seems abercromie shirts are usually small for their size in the first place, i would try the large or extra large in the kids...those might even be to small! and just ask the people that work at those stores to help you. good luck! :)
Reply:probably a large
Reply:A large would be your size

Reply:You are stupid to shop there. You are just a walking billboard promoting that filthy rotting carcass of a store.
Reply:large or x-large.

because it depends on different clothing.

some shirts come out in a bigger size than others.
Reply:You'd proabably need an x-large.

But you should check the size chart.
Reply:xl... same with me.. but just look at the size charts on each to compate
Reply:a large or extra large.
Reply:large

maybe extra large

:)
Reply:maybe a large or extra large
Reply:well, im between a size 0 and 2 in abercrombie and fitch (pants) and in shirts im a medium

in abercrombie kids youd be a size im a size sixteen ( which is teh biggest) and in shirts it varies from medium to large

the thing is abercrombie has a lot of small sizes, so most of them are really small but others are relativley normal sizes, so if your buying something on the internet or something liek that then your best bet would be to go for a Large but it never hurts to visit the store and try things on, besides its fun!

also, on the abercrombie webpage you can see their size chart which show you in inches how much each size is!

hope i helped!
Reply:i know im an xs in abercrombie and it makes me a medium in aberrombie kids. i would go with xl
Reply:large ... im the same =)

What is a "medium" when referring to artist trading cards?

Every time I am making an ATC (artist trading card), I am asked about a "medium". What does that mean?

What is a "medium" when referring to artist trading cards?
Most likely you're being asked about which "material(s)" you used in making it because so many things can be used to make "cards." Some possibilities would be paper, cardstock, polymer clay, ink, paint, glitter, rubberstamping, etc... or wilder things could be used too --as the card base itself, or as whatever is used to embellish it-- as long as the final result fits the size requirements of an "artist trading card."

However, another common way that the word medium is used is short for "acrylic mediums"... those are clear acrylic based liquids and gels sold in small bottles at craft and art supply stores that are used to change the characteristics of acrylic paints especially to allow them to be glossy or matte, be thinner or thicker, take a longer or shorter amount of time to dry ("open time"), etc. They are basically clear acrylic finishes, most of which have been tweaked a bit to create those characteristics when mixed with paints. They can also be used as clear sealers and adhesives.

Mediums come up in that way often when talking to painters and rubberstampers.

Next time you're in Michaels, etc., check out all the different acrylic mediums they have (...some common *brands* of acrylic medium are Liquitex and Golden since they also make acrylic paints).

HTH,

Diane B.
Reply:All of the above is correct !

Have you looked into Zantangles if you love ATC's you will love Zentangles because it allows you to express your drawing abilities..............there is 1 or 2 groups out now and I say to you, be one of the first !

The medium would be pen and paper
Reply:I think it just means what you've made it with - watercolour, pencils, ink and so on.
Reply:Hi, The 'medium' means what type of artwork you choose to use, be it paper collage, painting, beading, rubber stamping etc' etc', hope that helps. I am an atc nut as well.

all the best

Chris
Reply:I have never heard of artist trading cards.. But certain artists are known for working with certain"Mediums" such as Oil, Pastel, Pencil, charcoal...Etc

So, Either they are asking what medium you did the card with, or what medium the artist is most know for using or working with.
Reply:medium is the materials an artist works with, i.e. pastels, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, marble, etc.

What color should I paint the bedroom with a blue and brown comforter. THe carpet is medium gray?

comforter is a combination of light blue, medium blue and chocolate brown; the carpeting is a medium gray.

What color should I paint the bedroom with a blue and brown comforter. THe carpet is medium gray?
Depends on your own preferences!
Reply:tan or a pale yellow would work
Reply:Ok...so the blue hue is carried through the carpet...

My own choice? Being an artist, I would say a complimentary color...some hue of orange would blend well.

Orange is the complimentary color of blue, and when mixed with blue, does create brown...so consider a nice orange tone on the walls.
Reply:well, since the carpet is more permanent than the comforter, i would go with a light-medium grey with a hint of blue undertone
Reply:a good combination of color is not more than 3 colors which w'd make ppl feel funny.a good bedroom color should be in light with some contrast which depends on ur taste.ur comforter should be in light blue n medium brown.ur carpet is dark grey.is it ok?
Reply:light blue with a little darkness in it
Reply:How about the top half a blue color and then the bottom a brown color!
Reply:brown
Reply:I dont understand why you are painting a room based upon a comforter. I'd keep a neutral color, perhaps antique white, or seafoam green.
Reply:cream, off-white, very light silver/gray tinted, very, very pale blue.
Reply:white or black
Reply:I personally would like a pale blue room. But it really depends one what you like.
Reply:light or medium blue walls.

dk brown woods

silvery-grey accents and metal tones
Reply:hazel
Reply:a very light blue like a touch of .Nothing to bright should feel relaxing not cold.
Reply:you could try cream n light grey.or cream n lite brown, either one should look nice
Reply:Get a muddy blue wallpaper. Or perhaps if you want to be bold, I'd say go with orange or purple. Orangle, brown, and blue are contrasting colors.
Reply:Do the walls in light blue and the base boards in dove gray. Bring out the brown with accent pillows.
Reply:light blue
Reply:lol get rid of the carpet! lol just kidding try a medium blue for instance baby eeyore color (not big eeyore cause hes greyish)
Reply:Might I suggest a taupe color... inbetween a brown and a grey. It's a light color, and will go nice with the comforter and the carpeting. Try getting a brown sheet set as well to accent the darker color in the comforter. Oddly enough, I just bought a blue %26amp; brown comforter set this weekend... GOOD LUCK and pleasant dreams!
Reply:I'm no expert but think about this...one day you will likely change the comforter and you don't want to paint the walls to match your bed every other month! Think of something neutral but still vibrant and something that shows your personality and taste. Like maybe a matte coffee-like color which is warm and not offensive to the eyes....and it will match your bedding and the carpet.
Reply:slate blue/light

Where can I get a small/medium dog for my little sister?

My little sister has been diagnosed with a mild case of autism,. We have been suggested to get a medium/small dog for her, so she could learn how interact with another living thing that she could learn to take care and love. It would be great if there are any places that have adoptions, for a affordable price, I have a tight budget as I'm attending college. Any suggestions on the type of dog would be great too, small/medium but nothing like a chihuahua or those curly fluffy dogs, there so common at my neighborhood, but I have nothing against them.

Where can I get a small/medium dog for my little sister?
try petfinder.org they have a list of shelters and classified ads of available pets with full descriptions. What a wonderful thing you are doing for your sister. Adoption fees from animal shelters vary, and there may be an assistance program available since your sister has autism, this site, http://www.nsd.on.ca/autism.htm talks about the criteria and things about children and service dogs. In my personal opinion, maltepoos are the best, they are smallish, loving, and loyal to a "T" they seem to understand but I also believe that pets and owners have a way of finding each other. Good luck in your search
Reply:I agree, shelter dog is the way to go.

they are spayed/neutered, get shots and dewormed, too!

you just provide a good stable home, training, and love.

a registered mutt, (kidding on registered), can be just as good a pet as any registered dog.

sometimes the dog will choose its owner...

good luck
Reply:Animal shelters first and foremost and breeders. Never buy from a pet shop because they get their dogs from puppy mills.

As for a goos breed...That is a tough question...most small/medium dogs aren't really good with children because they are high strung and can me easily injured when a child accidentally hurts them...they also commonly snap when they feel threatened.

With my personal experience, I would highly recommend a larger dog. I'm not saying get a Great Dane or Saint Bernard, but a German Shepherd, Doberman Pinscher, or just a generally large mutt if you don't mind mixed breeds.

My personal favorite is the Doberman. So many people don't like them because they look "scary" and it's just ridiculous. My Dobie boy is the most friendly and laid back dog I've ever been around. He gets along spectacularly with kids and other animals. Best dog I've ever had and I've had a lot throughout the years.

Labs and Golden are very common for kids, but since they are sporting dogs they need lots of activity. Golden's also require a lot of grooming and very regular baths because they have that "doggie odor"

Dobes on the other hand were bred to obey its owner. So, whether you're out running around in the park or backyard or sleeping on the couch, he is happy and will not bother you to do anything other than what you want to do.

As you can tell, I am very partial to the breed. They are everything...a real dog, a wonderful companion, a protector, beautiful, easily trained, and just great all around. Plus, a swipe down with a wet cloth is all you need for several months. :)

Hope I helped out a little. Though not a small/medium breed, I honestly believe a Doberman would do your sister and everyone else in your family good.
Reply:http://www.petfinder.org

Good luck! :o)
Reply:you can get a cute %26amp; afordable dog from the humaine society it is a great thing to adopt a dog %26amp; a good cause. if you want more of puppy you can look in the paper.

i recconmend a shitsui or a begal.

(small dogs are hyper though)
Reply:check your local animal shelter or buy a paper with classifieds and buy her one from there
Reply:I would go to the animal shelter. Many of those dogs get put down because people buy expensive dogs/purebreeds. I have heard that mixed dogs ('muts') are often much better. Good luck! :)
Reply:definantly go to a pound near you. they have everything u might want and there afordable. i hope youe sister love her new dog
Reply:Check your local shelter, tell them what you are looking for in a dog, they should have a few suggestions for you.
Reply:Animal shelter is your best bet, but I am a breeder and when people pay good money to get a dog/pure breed it is because they are well worth it because any good breeder will health test their dogs to get a dog that will have no health problems not like your back yard breeders that advertise on line or in papers those dogs are more likely to have problems than ones that are matched to better the breed and not to just make money, a good breeder will guarantee their pups/dogs for their life unlike the back yard breeder
Reply:Labrador retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Standard Poodles

Basset Hounds and Boston Terriers are all good companion dogs and good with children. You can look around for breeders in your area on the internet. Sometimes you can find people selling puppies in the the local trader or classified ads for a more reasonable price. Also you can go to the pound , Alot of times people may drop off a litter of these pups simply because they cant find a good home for them and are unable to care for them theirself.
Reply:most shelters only ask about $100-$200 for a dog. It depends on the age of the dog, the younger, the more expensive (It's generally 6 months and younger are the higher end, one year and over on the lower end, the price also depends on the shelter and their needs). What you really need to do though, is bring your sister to the shelter with you, and see how the she interacts with the dog and vice versa. I don't know how old your sister is, but you definately need to check that it can deal with children. Some dogs don't like younger children because they tend to be too rough with them. A shelter would definately be the best place to go, both for your wallet, and you'd be giving a homeless dog a warm, loving home. Best of Wishes!
