My hair color is medium brown and I want to highlight it. What color should I highlight it?

My hair is medium brown and I want lighter highlights. But I don't want them to be to light but I still want it to look different.

i have medium brown hair and i recently got dirty blonde/blonde highlights.





there not brassy AT ALL, and they look so good. if you dont want them too light, i suggest you get light brown to dirty blonde highlights.

Reply:I have medium brown hair and about two years ago I started to high/lowlight my hair. You have to go to a great professional though....that's my opinion. I highlight with a blonde/dirty blonde and lowlight with darker browns. I have tried auburn/red tones for lowlights as well. I recommend the lowlighting because it adds dimension. I found that everytime I went back, I shifted the colors a little...that way I had more variety to my style.
