How many cups of canned pumpkin are equivalent to the flesh of 2 medium-sized pumpkins?

I have some leftover canned pumpkin and i want to make pumpkin soup, but the recipe i found only gives the measure of "the flesh of 2 medium pumpkins." How much canned pumpkin is that?

How many cups of canned pumpkin are equivalent to the flesh of 2 medium-sized pumpkins?
The pumpkin really cooks down when you bake it so I would say about a can and a half of canned pumpkin, maybe two cans.
